Renewal by Anderson is adding a Customer Service Permits Coordinator whose primary role is to ensure that permits are obtained, and inspections are completed successfully in coordination with installation activities.  This position is for our Jessup office and will be working on permits for the DMV area. 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain relationships with building inspectors from local municipalities.
  • Act as liaison between installation crews, service associates and inspectors.
  • Coordinate with installation schedulers & municipalities to schedule post-installation jobsite inspections.
  • Pulling permits electronically with local jurisdictions.
  • Work with Homeowner Associations to complete applications for project approval.
  • Coordinate with installation crews to ensure completion commitments are met prior to inspector arrival at job site. Meet with inspectors at jobsites as required.
  • Follow-up with municipalities to ensure all jobs are finalized within timing requirements.
  • Investigate & resolve code compliance issues with local building officials and installation department.
  • Update computer systems with current & accurate information regarding jobsite inspections.
  • Scheduling on-site inspections, job site visits, and communicate required items to homeowners.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of construction and/or window industry; construction management or coordination experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of building permit requirements preferred but can be trained. 
  • Knowledge of universal building code requirements but can be trained. 
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and database applications.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $23.00-$34.00 plus incentives.

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
