POSITION PURPOSE
The Manager LOA Programs is responsible for all company-sponsored leave programs at an enterprise-wide level. This role will lead the administration and reporting of disability and leave programs across the organization. This includes designing strategies, ensuring compliance, improving processes, resolving issues, analyzing data and trends, and managing services provided by external vendors. The position acts as the subject matter expert for different types of leaves and ensures all programs comply with relevant regulations. This position leads and develops a team of leave specialists while driving strategic improvements, ensuring compliance, and fostering cross-functional collaboration to deliver a consistent and supportive employee leave experience.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Collaborate with consultants, leadership, and HR business partners to develop, implement, administer, and maintain comprehensive employee benefit leave policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local leave regulations.
  • Evaluate existing leave programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness and trends and develop solutions for enhancement within budget.
  • Manage the leave team and leave management processes and procedures.
  • Assess and analyze statistical leave data to identify trends and measure program outcomes; communicate findings to relevant parties
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, responding in a timely and professional manner, escalating on topics when necessary and appropriate.
  • Serve as an escalation point for leave management-related issues, raising unresolved or escalated issues to HR leadership and/or the vendor, as applicable.
  • Develop and facilitate communications and training relevant to federal, state, local, and company leave programs for all levels of the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND/OR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
  • 10 years of experience in leave management and administration with at least 3 years of experience supporting an exempt and non-exempt population of 10,000+ employees.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local leave laws including Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Military Leave in compliance with USERRA and related regulations, and experience managing multi-state Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) programs, including Minnesota Paid Leave Law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service mindset. Experience with project management, including implementation of best practices to improve the business and employee experience.
  • Ability to build effective business relationships, as well as interact with all levels of employees within the organization and vendor community.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to navigate complex cases and provide thoughtful, compliant solutions.
  • Demonstated organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple leave cases and details.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Workday, UKG, or similar systems.
  • Experience working with and managing third-party administrators (TPAs) for leave and disability programs.

COMPENSATION:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $108,941 - $168,859 annually.

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
