RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN SUMMARY:
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing technical expertise to our manufacturing teams supporting the Renewal by Andersen locations in Cottage Grove, MN and Locust Grove, GA. Primary focus will be on monitoring, controlling, and improving existing manufacturing processes, and to ensure customer and business needs are met. The ideal candidate for this position is an innovative, strategic thinker and has a passion for solving complex problem.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be a subject matter expert in manufacturing systems and processes
- Consult and evaluate the manufacturability of new product design and changes to existing product lines
- Provide recommendations regarding the viability of developed design solutions that relate to new or current processes
- Use a science-based approach and tools to solve complex technical problems with practical solutions (i.e., Design of Experiments, process mapping, process capability analysis, Pugh matrix, FMEA, MSA, control plans, etc.)
- Act as the technical voice of this competency area with outside suppliers, trade organizations, industry groups, or other parties outside of Andersen Corporation
- Establish and sustain strong collaborative relationships with key partners and suppliers
- Stay well-informed on industry technology developments and explore their use in Andersen manufacturing systems
- Provide operational technical support for existing applications and processes
- Lead the investigation, evaluation, and execution of technology (i.e., material, process, or equipment) development or improvement projects via a stage-gate project management process
- Create and execute test plans, along with writing test reports to capture findings from the resulting work
- Enable the long-term success of developed solutions by defining the manufacturing requirements, including the process windows, design limitations, material interactions, and control plans necessary in the manufacturing environment.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- B.S. Mechanical, Industrial, or similar Engineering degree with 8+ years relevant experience
- Deep knowledge of complex manufacturing systems
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated track record of scientific and data-based problem-solving skills
- Strong technical curiosity with ability to handle ambiguity
- Passionate about building and sustaining relationships with our internal and external customers and suppliers
- Passion to coach and mentor others
- Experience in strategy development and deployment
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $108,941 - 168,859.
