This position will provide engineering support by working with members of new product line development teams, and external suppliers through product commercialization. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who can ensure that product components and finished products meet expectations, within the project timeline.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical support including:
Measuring parts produced by fabrication or assembly equipment
Analyzing measurement data and conducting capability studies
Performing Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility studies (GR&R)
Designing and procuring measurement gauges through the expense and / or capital expenditure processes
Creating Control Plans and Work Instruction documentation and conducting training
Transforming data from various sources into usable information for decision-making
Participating in equipment design reviews
Leading and participating in Process Failure Mode and Affect Analysis (PFMEA) and dimensional engineering strategies
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
4-year engineering degree
3-5 years engineering work experience
Working knowledge of measurement tools and systems, and geometric tolerancing
Experience in document creation, control, and training
Usage of computer software tools, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Minitab, Etc.
Knowledge and use of statistics, including capability studies and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plans
Demonstrated ability to multitask, and work in a fast-paced agile environment
WORK REQUIREMENTS
Must be willing to travel up to 25% when required (primarily domestic, occasionally international)
