SUMMARY

Senior FP&A Analyst – Specialties Business Unit will work closely with the finance and BU leaders to help develop and drive financial analysis to provide insights to business leadership, and to support the finance leadership in driving change for the Business Unit. The person in this position will also be engaged in the day-to-day FP&A-related work for the BU (including, but not limited to forecasting, period-end closing, budgeting, management reporting, etc.).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

FP&A For Specialties Business Unit

  • Initially support, and then own the month-end close reporting, commentary, and other related processes.
  • Support the FP&A Manager in the preparation of periodic outlooks and budgets. Including, but not limited to target setting, process management, input compilations, etc.
  • Independently structure and execute analysis/ models to answer a defined business problem.
  • Gain a deep understanding of financial data associated with the assigned business (including data limitations) to drive analysis independently.
  • Proficiently represent data visually using Excel and PowerPoint (PowerBI an added advantage), to communicate analysis outcomes and financial results.
  • Participate in the development of business cases, and other long-term financial projections for key/ strategic initiatives.
  • Influence and communicate with business partners in your functional area. Identify abnormal trends to socialize with business partners and supervisors.
  • Provide inputs and ideas on process improvements within the FP&A organization.

Business Partnering

  • Proactively build relationships with assigned/ identified Business Partner (BP) groups - Conduct regular BP touch points to discuss business/ financial/ operational performance.
  • Proactively work with finance leaders and business partners to build an understanding of the assigned business area and its performance.
  • Own BP materials (month-end and other) - ensure accuracy, presentability, and readability.
  • Partner with assigned BPs to manage cost and other financial/ performance parameters.
  • Track assigned business unit’s performance and seek to provide action-oriented insights and drive to the “So What”.
  • Work closely with other FP&A leaders and team members regularly to gather a holistic view of the business.
  • Engage other finance team members to better understand Andersen’s data models, and to better utilize data for analysis/ insights.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Undergraduate degree with an emphasis in finance/ accounting.
  • Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
  • 4 to 7+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to present and articulate financial information simply and concisely.
  • Driven and self-starter.
  • Ability to meet demanding deadlines under pressure and deliver ‘right first time’ financial information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
