As an Industrial Engineer, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing material flow, inventory management, and parts presentation to enhance operational efficiency. You will assess current and future capacity needs using forecasting and planning tools, while supporting key performance metrics in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee Engagement. This role requires close collaboration with production teams to drive hands-on problem solving, improve supermarket processes, and implement sustainable solutions through root cause analysis.
POSITION PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead continuous improvement projects centered around material flow – route changes, inventory right sizing, dunnage changes, etc.
- Implement effective material flow concepts with special attention to parts presentation
- Assess current & future capacity requirements by utilizing marketing forecasts, value stream mapping, and capacity planning methodologies
- Support of our balanced scorecard focused on improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Employee Engagement
- Support day-to-day supermarket focused efforts on improving scrap accuracy and pick efficiency, while reducing mis-picks
- Work closely with production supervisors, team leads, and production employees to perform problem solving and root cause analysis
- Promote a hands-on, high involvement approach to problem solving
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 4-year degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering Technology
- Open to varying levels of experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principals
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills
- Positive attitude with a desire to build relationships and serve both our internal and external customers
COMPENSATION:
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $77,000 - $119,000
