SUMMARY

The Product Owner for Enterprise Data Platform and Support plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering data capabilities that empower Data Product Delivery Teams across the organization. This role bridges strategic vision and technical execution, ensuring that data platform solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise priorities. The Product Owner leads backlog refinement, prioritization, and delivery coordination across data engineering, architecture, and support teams.

This position requires an understanding of modern cloud data stacks, DevSecOps practices, and legacy platform solutions. The Product Owner collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders, including Data Product Delivery Teams, Integration teams, and Enterprise & Solution Architects - to drive continuous improvement and deliver trusted, high-performing solutions for our data product delivery teams. This role will work in tandem with a Data Product Governance leadership group across multiple delivery teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Vision & Roadmap
    • Collaboratively develop and communicate the vision for the data platform and support services.
    • Build and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business goals and data strategy.
    • Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value and stakeholder input.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Act as the liaison between Data platform, data engineers, analysts, architects and IT support teams.
    • Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
    • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and adoption.
  • Product Development Oversight
    • Manage the lifecycle of platform solutions & capabilities—from ideation to decommission.
    • Ensure timely delivery of features and updates through agile methodologies.
    • Oversee backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release management.
    • Drives perpetual support of tools/capabilities that the Platform team is required to maintain
  • Data Governance & Quality
    • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with governance policies.
    • Advocate for clean, well-documented, and accessible data across the organization.
    • Support initiatives for metadata management, lineage tracking, and data cataloging.
  • Support & Enablement
    • Oversee support processes for data platform users, including issue resolution and user training.
    • Monitor platform performance and user satisfaction.
    • Drive continuous improvement in support workflows and user experience.
  • Metrics & Success Criteria
    • Define KPIs to measure the success and impact of data platform initiatives.
    • Report on usage, adoption, and business outcomes enabled by the platform.
    • Use feedback and analytics to guide future enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management in data platforms or data analytics domains.
  • Familiarity with data platforms, data governance, and analytics tools
  • Understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data architecture concepts.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to define and manage product roadmaps, backlogs, and feature prioritization.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, user story creation, and value proposition development.
  • Strong understanding of data strategy, including compliance, security, and scalability.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, analytics, and business units.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships and driving consensus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to data governance frameworks and metadata management.
  • Formal training or certification in Product Ownership (e.g., CSPO, SAFe PO/PM)

COMPENSATION 

Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $99,216 per year to $153,784 per year.

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
