This position is responsible for managing a team of Project Engineers within the Manufacturing, Integration, & Transformation (MIT) team across Andersen manufacturing sites. This leader will be responsible for developing a team of engineers responsible for specification, design, installation, and commissioning of equipment and systems to support large capital growth projects. They will support training, tool development, and best practice adoption to improve the efficiency and technical success of those projects. The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced strategic-thinking leader that has a passion for developing and leading a high-performing team.
This position ensures that the assigned project engineering team is operated in accordance with Andersen’s values, employee covenant, and strategic direction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with MIT leadership, project leadership, and operations to develop staffing plans for enterprise capital projects.
- Set clear expectations, direction, and priorities for the department. Prepare and manage department budgets.
- Communicate and collaborate across functions such as Manufacturing, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Planning, Finance, Engineering, IT, Logistics.
- Support and involve employees in identifying and permanently removing obstacles to performance excellence.
- Hire and develop team. Responsible for holding team accountable through coaching and the performance management process.
- Provide appropriate training, tools, guidance, coaching and feedback to team.
- Empower and lead the team to drive continuous improvement activities within supply chain processes through AMS tools and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4 year degree in Engineering, Technology, or Management.
- Prefer 10+ years of technical experience with 3+ years experience in a technical leadership role
- Solid understanding of equipment procurement processes and manufacturing systems.
- Experience managing Engineers and associated resources/projects
- Must have demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, facilitation and giving presentations
- Excellent teamwork, interpersonal, analytical and conceptual skills.
- Demonstrated ability in coaching, training, and developing others
- Strong ability to inspire others to create energy
- Experience with performance management systems and employee performance management
