TITLE: Software Engineering & Delivery Manager - Quote

Summary

The Digital Technology team is seeking a dynamic and experienced manager to lead our software engineering and quality assurance team for our quote platforms. This leadership role is critical transforming our delivery model to increase velocity, improve release flexibility and quality, and build scalable team structure to support the growing demand.  The ideal candidate would bring a strong technical foundation, proven leadership in agile delivery, and strategic vision to guide our technical teams.  This job requires a balance of day-to-day delivery and a strategic vision for advancing quote platform solutions for the entire enterprise. This role will require interactions with multiple Product Management teams, Integration teams and Enterprise Architecture teams to enable our business partners to provide world-class customer experiences. 

Primary Responsibilities
Own technical delivery for the Quote product platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and quality while partnering with Product Owners who drive product vision and prioritization.
Manage critical vendor partnerships - particularly with Paradigm - to align product roadmaps and ensure enterprise-level reliability and scale.
Own and drive partner delivery excellence for staff augment/contractor vendors; responsible and accountable for maintaining an accurate, current view of partner performance, and managing capacity planning / estimation for contractor needs.
Lead modernization efforts to reduce technical debt, decouple legacy systems, and evolve toward service-oriented solutions.
Build a high-performing engineering culture by fostering career growth, engineering excellence, and metrics driven continuous improvement.
Ensure team understands the vision and objectives of the organization and how their backlog and priorities support achieving those objectives.
Collaborate closely with Product, Architecture, and Integration teams to deliver seamless quoting experiences.

Qualifications And Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technology with emphasis in computer information systems or equivalent experience required. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required. 
Minimum three years of experience managing technology platforms and software engineers. 
Minimum 5+ years in a leadership role; demonstrated experience leading people and/or teams; directly or indirectly.
Proven experience in transforming delivery models to improve speed, quality, and cost efficiency.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms and modern software engineering practices.
Strong team building, change management and people management skills in a matrixed and geographically dispersed organization.
Knowledge of agile engineering practices, development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Slack, VersionOne).
Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative, communication, change management, presentation and management skills, strong judgment, and ability to effectively liaise with cross functional stakeholders and optimize teams.
A "bar-raiser" mentality, driven to motivate and lead teams in a high performing culture talent environment and able to provide direct, candid feedback to employee. 
Experience with Product Configuration solutions and Product Data Management is a bonus. 

COMPENSATION
 
Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $121,804 per year to $188,796 per year.

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
