RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN SUMMARY:
SUMMARY:
Andersen Corporation has an opening for a Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt. This role serves to execute three primary functions within the Renewal by Andersen division in Cottage Grove:
- Portfolio Manager: Facilitate cross-functional alignment, negotiate project priority, evaluate key metrics to track improvement, and leverage an understanding of the operation and financials to identify opportunities and guide strategy.
- Project Coach: Guide other project leaders in DMAIC methodology, Lean principles, project execution, experimentation, measurement, and process control.
- Independent Contributor: Lead and execute projects to improve business metrics and data visibility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the continuous improvement project portfolio for a team of engineers and operations project resources within operations and supply chain
- Translate pain-points expressed within the local operation into clearly defined, measurable opportunities
- Drive decision making in areas of ambiguity or uncertainty within business strategy utilizing data
- Continuously facilitate alignment across functions (Engineering, Operations, Research and Development, etc.)
- Drive improvement activity through the application of statistical tools and interpretation of results (Design of Experiments, Measurement System Analysis, Failure Modes and Effect Analysis, process mapping, process capability, statistical significance)
- Guide project resources, including green belts, in the application of the tools listed above as well as DMAIC methodology
- Lead and execute continuous improvement projects in areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
*This role will operate as a Lean Six-Sigma Black Belt within the Andersen Corporate program, which includes internal training. Previous Lean Six-Sigma experience is not a requirement.
- BS Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Science or similar engineering OR a 4-yr degree in Supply Chain Management
- Project management experience and experience working with collaborative, cross-functional teams
- Desire and ability to leverage “soft” skills in the areas of change management, influence, and negotiation
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion and sustain change
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Lean & Six Sigma Experience (Belt Certification)
- Proficiency with statistical analysis using Minitab, JMP, or similar software
COMPENSATION: Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $88,235 - $136,765.
