SUMMARY:
Renewal by Andersen is seeking an Industrial Engineering Process Designer at our Cottage Grove facility. This position is responsible for designing and implementing the material and information flow processes within projects. Key focus is understanding the complete end-to-end supply chain system and being a key contributor on small to medium scale projects.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identifies unexpressed customer needs or customer problems and can identify potential solutions.
Design and implement end to end integrated processes that meet project deliverables. Project scopes include new product implementation, capacity initiative, and/or portfolio expansion. - Support MES and ERP system buildouts for new products and processes within the manufacturing environment.
- Integrate new software and hardware technologies into manufacturing to support production team members and improve efficiency. Serve as liaison between IT systems experts and manufacturing team members.
- Develop material, inventory, and information flow processes for the plan, make, source, and deliver strategies defined by business needs.
- Lead cross-functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions.
- Design and procure material storage systems, material handling equipment, and computer hardware on medium to large scale projects.
- Build reciprocal working relationships with people from across the organization and suppliers.
- Communicate new ideas, project status, and results to project team and leadership through organized presentations that promote dialogue and understanding.
- Develop new concepts and ideas that reduce overall costs across the supply chain
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 4-year degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in project leadership, supply chain, IT, operations or manufacturing/industrial engineering preferred
- Knowledge and experience in material and information flow systems and processes such as ERP, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), and lean methodology
- Excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with change management strategies
- Cross-functional exposure preferred
- Ability to travel if required up to 25% to MN or GA
COMPENSATION: Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $88K-$135K annually.
