Business process analyst who supports change management and transformation initiatives with an intermediate level of complexity and risk. This role drives resolution of business process opportunities through process and financial analysis using formal business analytical and project management tools and structure. Has demonstrated capabilities to plan, lead and direct small functional projects within a single business process and/or business division. Identifies business process opportunities beneficial to the company and formulates an approach to address them with strong internal controls and according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyst who focuses a minimum of 75% of their time on business process and system transformation. This role is to define &/or support business process improvement initiatives, with an intermediate level of complexity and risk, from ideation through implementation and stabilization. Includes researching/identifying current state, gaps to future stated, best practices or other opportunities, developing completely new business processes, researching and implementing new / enabling technologies all within a strong system of internal controls and while ensuring GAAP requirements are met. They will provide this support through individual contributions or by leading a medium size (up to 5 people) functional or cross-functional team.
- Depending upon role, analyst may or may not focus up to 25% of their time operationally in a current state environment. Provides operational support to maintain subject matter expertise of current state business processes and systems while balancing the continuous support of transformation; especially during key financial cycles.
- Understands and utilizes company adopted or formal business analytical, tools, technologies and methodologies not limited to: ERP implementation best practices, business process mapping, lean six sigma tools, and project management methodologies to support or to lead medium sized change management initiatives or projects.
- Efficiently and effectively collaborates at a high level on all functional and cross-functional teams. Manages the relationship with their operational business owner, sponsor(s) and other key stakeholders to ensure common agreement of problem identification, scope, deliverables, and trade-offs from ideation through stabilization / closure.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- BS in Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, Business Admin or related field. 7-10 years of related experience and/or training. 4-7 years project experience, or equivalent
- Understanding of intermediate to complex level difficulty of accounting practices and process including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) with 5 years of analytical and project or change management experience, or equivalent.
- Experience in implementing financial application packages and process changes.
- Advanced presentation skills and the ability to express project technical concepts in non-technical, business terms.
- Basic demonstrated knowledge regarding formal project management training, business process analysis tools and best practices, experience or certifications: PMI, PMBOK, business analytics, process design, business or process analysis, etc
COMPENSATION
Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $88,235 to $136,765 per year.
