SUMMARY
The Payroll Systems Analyst role is responsible to ensure that Andersen maintains compliance with all U.S. and Canadian timekeeping requirements and operations for the enterprise. This position will create and maintain policies and procedures to ensure our timekeeping practices follow all applicable federal, state and municipal regulations. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting the business by continually assessing current processes and implementing new solutions to support each enterprise location while maintaining efficient and effective timekeeping methods. This position is also responsible for timekeeping compliance matters related to acquisitions, audits, legal claim support and reporting requests received by the business.
Hybrid/Location: 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. This position is located in Oak Park Heights, MN
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as subject matter expert on timekeeping compliance matters; including but not limited to, creating enterprise-wide policies and procedures that enable efficient, effective and compliant timekeeping practices.
- Defines, configures/develops, tests, analyzes, and maintains Kronos Workforce application (Timekeeping, Scheduling, Attendance and Analytics
- Monitor and audit time entry changes to ensure timekeepers, supervisors and payroll team follows Andersen policies and procedures.
- Investigates and resolves timekeeping-based compliance matters with company locations, outside agencies and vendors. Ensures and maintains a strong internal control environment.
- Responsible for the systems/technologies that drive payroll/timekeeping operations (e.g. PeopleSoft Payroll, Kronos) including upgrades, enhancements, and reporting.
- Creates detailed functional and technical design documents, test plans and implementation documents
- Collaborates in a team environment and independently with suppliers, business partners, and technology teams on projects, support activities, application development and standardization
- Leads special projects and continuous improvement efforts. Identifies areas where standardization of process is possible and creates efficiencies through process or technological improvements.
- Acts as the timekeeping SME for acquisitions and divestiture.
- Serves as liaison with internal and external auditors and state/federal agencies
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- May travel with over-night stays to off-site locations as needed.
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years’ experience working with Kronos Workforce Central application (preferably v8.1)
- 3-5 years’ payroll experience (PeopleSoft knowledge would be preferred but not required)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple and/or time dependent activities
- Works well independently or with a team
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at any level of organization.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
