The Lean Management Leader is the trusted problem solver to the Plant Manager on Lean Management practices, at the level of a plant operating system. This leader is an emerging influencer; coaching and directly participating in establishing the processes, tools, and management disciplines to deploy a lean management operating system in the plant or operational equivalent.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as primary coach and engaged working partner with plant manager and Tier 3 staff members to cultivate a Lean Management culture. Actively deploy and leverage Lean Management practices and disciplines, including, but not limited to, Strategy Deployment, OKRs, Tiered Management, A3 Process, Toyota Kata, MDI, and similar tools and structures Provide visible, high energy, and inspiring leadership in the drive to deploy lean culture and lean process improvements across all levels of the organization, with focus on Tier 3 level and below.
Develop and maintain a detailed working model of the key value streams and supply chain processes (physical manufacturing processes, information flow processes, and related business processes) that govern the operational performance of the plant. Prioritize and elevate visibility of larges value stream improvement opportunities for the plant. Establish a playbook of strategic priorities to support mid-term and long-term business objectives and operational targets for the plant. Personally lead low complexity Kaizen events to realize most impactful value stream improvement opportunities for meeting operational performance targets and strategic business objectives of the plant.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 3-5 years professional experience.
- Preferred experience as a plant operations or engineering professional.
- Perform in a tactful, professional, and flexible manner with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and opinions with a strong ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinking and change management capabilities.
- Drive results through persuasiveness and influencing skills; organize self and others with timely follow through and execution.
- Facilitation and project management skills
- Build highly effective relationships, develop people, and create high-performing teams.
COMPENSATION: Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $108,941 - $168,859.
