The HR Business Partner in Bayport is an important individual contributor role whose primary focus is the front-line support of supervisors and production staff for talent needs. This role reports to a Human Resorces Manager, working as a team to create value serving as the direct partner to the business on inquiries and needs, investigating and resolving employee issues, partnering with leaders on talent acquisition and compensation needs, execution of cyclical people processes, providing execution of change management workstreams, coaching leaders on enforcement of policies and disciplinary and performance management procedures, and through active project participation and delivery. This is a highly visible and important role for our teams to ensure a seamless and well-regarded employee experience, and a successful candidate in this role drives continuous improvement in procedures, processes, programs, and tools.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as front-line support for production staff and supervisors. Leverage established processes and procedures to address inquiries in a timely and complete manner. Partner with enterprise COE resources on issue resolution. Identifies continuous improvement opportunities, shares feedback, and develops solutions to common issues
- Conduct thorough, objective, and timely investigations for assigned area. Thought partner with Human Resources Manager and leaders to resolve employee relations issues. Share trends, themes, and data to support sustained solution development. Participate in solution development recommendations and execution
- At guidance of Human Resources Manager and established procedures, support execution of cyclical people processes in the areas of compensation, performance management, discipline, talent planning, talent development, benefits administration, and talent acquisition. Seek methods to improve processes and service delivery
- Provide performance management guidance to supervisory team (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Where continued gaps exist, leverage data to drive continuous improvement
- Counsel with supervisors regarding compensation alignment and equity in preparation of salary recommendations, internal transfers, market adjustments, and promotional recommendations. May deliver additional value by partnering with COEs to drive improvements to process and tools
- Participate people projects; deliver assigned workstream responsibilities in a timely and aligned fashion. Embrace role as a change leader; execute change management responsibilities to secure maximum understanding and success. May be accountable for leading project workstreams across plants for growth and development
- Support health, safety, and environment initiatives and programs and facilitate a safe and healthy culture
- Other duties, as assigned
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources or similar discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 2-5 years' experience in an HR Business Partner/Generalist capacity.
- PHR/SHRM-CP Certification preferred
- Strong HR Acumen: - Deep knowledge of HR processes and working knowledge of most HR disciplines
- Ability to build relationships and trust with excellent skills in coaching and mentoring
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see hidden problems and look beyond the obvious for answers, uses data to make decisions.
- Ability to build upon current multi-lingual teams to support ethnically diverse work populations.
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated knowledge in data gathering and analysis
- PHR / SPHR certification preferred
- Bilingual Preferred (Karen, Somali, Spanish and Hmong)
COMPENSATION
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $61,760 - $92,640
