Renewal by Andersen (RbA) has an exciting opportunity to join a winning, competitive team. Our Greater Michigan market has an upcoming sales class scheduled to begin on July 28th, 2025. Our regional headquarters is out of Kentwood, but looking for Design Consultants in our Midland or Lansing area.

POSITION PURPOSE
Design Consultants deliver a world-class homeowner experience through in-home sales consultations lasting about 90 minutes. They conduct 8–12 appointments per week, showcasing the value of Renewal by Andersen’s exclusive products and installation process. Success in this role requires emotional intelligence, active listening, and the ability to recommend and close on solutions that meet customer needs. Consultants are trained to offer a wide range of window, patio door, and entry door options
Why Sales at Renewal by Andersen is DIFFERENT:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct in-home sales consultations, including leveraging an iPad and augmented reality to design and build window and door replacement solutions for homeowners. Follow established Renewal Sales and measure processes through to completion, while submitting necessary contracts and paperwork for each project 40%
  • Drive personal vehicle and sit for long periods of time up to 1,800-2,500 miles per month to and from in-home appointments 20%
  • Attend and actively participate in sales meetings, trainings and branch meetings 10%
  • Attend technical measurement appointments/install and engaged in the support of the sales project process including but limited to, documentation, follow through, order changes, discounting guidelines, and keeping in contact with homeowner 30%

 Premium Products and Service

 Lead Generation
 * No cold calling! Your leads are pre-set and pre-qualified.

 Compensation
 * Paid training, $25 per hour, is provided during the 10-week training period.
 * Compensation is 100% commission-based (without a base salary, hourly wage, or draw) once the 10-week training period has concluded. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process.
 * Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn between $150,000-$250,000/annually.

 Learning & Development
 * We offer 10 weeks of PAID TRAINING to ensure your success ($25/hour)! Our Sales Managers coach to build the skills and confidence you need to get the results you strive for!

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND/OR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
• Strong persuasive skills and the ability to overcome objections and close sales
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Visibly passionate about providing a world-class homeowner experience
• Values collaboration, and builds strong working relationships with all key stakeholders 
• Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
• Positive mental attitude and driven to exceed goals in a competitive industry
• Basic computer skills/iPad skills     
• Must have valid state motor vehicle operator's license and/or ability to obtain In-Home State License (requirements vary by state)
• Must be able to routinely lift/move items weighing up to 53 pounds from ground to table top level. Requires the ability for frequent sitting, walking, reaching at waist level, climbing stairs
• Meet and maintain company sales metrics and performance expectations
• High School Diploma or equivalent required OR minimum 2 years of experience

PROFIT SHARING: In 2025 Andersen has set a profit sharing target of $3,500 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
