SUMMARY
· To do a proper inspection of all filter system’s and related equipment to prevent lost production time from breakdowns
· Efficiently keeps the roof clean, inspects sawdust, vinyl air systems to ensure optimum operation of systems and identify potential maintenance problems
· Check hose cart houses/ in-house reels; clean roof drains, and assists Tin Shop as needed
· Ability to perform basic sheet metal fabrication and installations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Checks for proper operation of filter system, bin-vent systems, roof fans, and cleans all roof drains
· Check hose cart houses/hose stations in the plant
· Cleans roof and all scrap material and excess sawdust from blow-overs
· Clean all blower filters on roof and inside plant that are associated with the dust collection system
· EPA inspection and record keeping daily
· Perform minor repairs to filter system, vinyl roof system
· Provide backup for snow plowing
· Assists crews on clean-up of larger blow-overs
· Reports any irregularities found on the roof and related equipment
· Clean windows and screens in roof arrears
· Occasionally directs filter changing crews
· Responsible for cleaning and storage of filter bags
· Checks top of vinyl silos
· Required to check roof for snow buildups
· Ability to learn a variety of basic Tin Shop duties

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient knowledge of filter system grid and sequence for filter system blower/pumps for material flow
- Perform a controlled start up shut down of the entire filter system
- Must be familiar with all roof areas
- Must know what to do in case of fire on the roof
- Must be knowledgeable of fire extinguishers
- Must be familiar with tools used to performance to Tin Shop duties
- Knowledge of Grecon system, or other fire and spark detection system and how to operate
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY
· Lifting up to 50 lbs. required
· Comfortability with working on the roof and heights.
· Occasionally – Squat, crawl, climb ladders, etc.
SALARY INFORMATION:

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
