SUMMARY
Andersen Corporation is seeking a self-motivated Testing Services Technician to support an energetic group of Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) Engineers that lead projects focused on window and door products.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Work independently with direction from engineers to test units and materials in support of their project work
- Prepare samples for testing using saws and other shop equipment
- Follow established or create new procedures to test materials
- Record and organize test results for engineers to review
- Work effectively as a team member and manage multiple priorities
- Communicate progress on assigned work to achieve required timelines
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment
- Follow required safety and environmental procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma
- At least 1 year of experience working in a laboratory environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong aptitude in analysis and problem solving
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Strong computer skills (Basic Microsoft office skills, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Demonstrated ability to work with hand and power tools
- Willingness to work flexible hours if experiments need to be run during an off-shift
- 2-year degree in Technology or equivalent experience
- Ability to analyze data and assist with written documentation
- Basic knowledge of window and door products
- Ability to operate a fork truck or other power industrial truck

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
