JOB DESCRIPTION:
The sustainability intern will support the corporate sustainability team on moving forward projects and strategies that enhance Andersen’s sustainability performance. This role will work with teams across the company to understand processes, measure performance, and provide recommendations on potential improvements. Project work will be focused on waste and recycling, but could include content around energy, water, and carbon.

TASKS COULD INCLUDE:

  • Assist in the development and execution of sustainability initiatives that drive progress towards Andersen sustainability goals. 
  • Work with operations teams in the manufacturing facility to understand potential process improvements to improve sustainability metrics and drive behaviors 
  • Create a project plan for a sustainability initiative to improve behaviors and performance on key sustainability indicators 
  • Research and provide a landscape assessment on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) policies or other relevant environmental legislation passed across the United States

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
