SUMMARY 
This position is responsible for purchasing direct materials and managing inventory.  The level of the position will be determined based on skills, knowledge and abilities of the individual selected as well as the experience of other team members being hired onto this team.  
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Optimize supply planning parameters that align with business requirements for service and inventory, including coordinatation of material to match production demands.
  • Provides a high degree of planning analysis to support decision making.  
  • Applies practical supply chain knoweldge to identify, analyze and solve problems within a single value stream. 
  • Implements and supports continuous improvements and business process changes.
  • Participate in supply chain projects within the value stream with consideration to the entire supply chain (plan, source, make, deliver.)   
  • Identifies supply chain problem areas and drives improvement in service, reduce cost, and increase inventory turns, Utilizing Supply Chain and lean tools such as Kanban, 5Y, Plan-Do-Check-Act, value stream mapping and A3 thinking.   
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners including suppliers, supervisors and team leads, logistics/warehouse groups and material planners.  
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 
 
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, equivalent experience.  
  • 3-5 years of supply chain manufacturing experience.  
  • 1 to 8 or more years of experience, depending on level.  
  • Working knowledge of relevant supply chain technologies such as ERP, Manufacturing Executions Systems, Warehouse Management systems.  
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems, data mining and data reporting.  proficient in utilizing lean tools and methodology for problem solving and continuous improvement, including Pull, 5Y, PDCA, A3 thinking, waste elimination.  
 
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Information Systems is preferred.  Previous experience in new product start ups.

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
