Position Overview:

This engineering position will provide quality expertise for large new product and capacity expansion projects with the goal of launching differentiated products and processes that exceed our customer's expectations.  The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, curious, action-oriented individual who drives a "built-in" quality, error-proofing, data-driven mindset within the commercialization teams to ensure that only the highest-quality products reach our end customers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop quality assurance and quality control processes and implement them on new / updated manufacturing lines
  • Advocate for Quality interests, including Quality 4.0 concepts, in process, equipment, supply chain, and information flow designs
  • Lead Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (PFMEA) and develop mistake proofing solutions to address high risk (RPN) processes
  • Conduct Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of manufacturing equipment
  • Analyze fabrication and assembly equipment capability in Minitab or similar software (Cpk, Ppk)
  • Develop and execute product and process validation plans throughout commercialization lifecycle for individual equipment asset and full manufacturing line qualifications
  • Work with component suppliers on Part Submission Warrant (PSW) requests, First Article, and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submittals for new product development projects
  • Lead Control Plan and Work Instruction documentation development and implementation on the manufacturing line
  • Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) for critical to quality characteristics on the manufacturing lines
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to develop / update operator interfaces for manufacturing and quality inspections

 

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering or Technology
  • 3-5 years of day-to-day support experience in a manufacturing, continuous process environment required
  • Intermediate to advanced blueprint/Computer Aided Design (CAD) reading skills
  • Applied experience with PFMEA, SPC, process capability and lean manufacturing principles
  • Hands-on working knowledge of measurement tools and systems
  • Demonstrated record of building strong relationships and collaborating with others to achieve a shared objective 

 Work Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel up to 35% when required (primarily domestic, occasional international)

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
