Description & Requirements

In this role you will oversee the maintenance and operations of company facilities to ensure safety, efficiency, and proper upkeep. Key responsibilities include managing building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety), coordinating projects (renovations, repairs, installations), and handling budgets and timelines. You will ensure compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA) through regular inspections and audits. 

Additionally, you will manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee work quality. Resource allocation involves managing inventory and supplies. You will also develop emergency response plans for equipment failures or disasters and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance, providing updates to senior management. The role requires technical knowledge, project management, and leadership skills to support the organization’s operations effectively.


Primary Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Oversee project distribution and site assignments, conducting bi-monthly reviews with team members to ensure successful project implementation and maintain work/life balance. Promote personal development and career growth by identifying training and certification opportunities. Assess personnel resources and plan for future talent needs based on enterprise growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Director of Facilities to develop strategies for managing the enterprise’s portfolio of facilities and sites. Focus on preventative and deferred maintenance while positioning the company for growth.
  • Budget Management: Manage capital and expense budgets for enterprise facilities projects. This includes collecting data on existing investments and planning resources for future growth initiatives. Respond promptly to infrastructure failures to support manufacturing operations.
  • Collaboration: Work with Plant Managers, Site Facility Managers, and division directors to plan for future facility and infrastructure improvements that support business expansion and investments. Maintain a 10-year plan for aging infrastructure, oversee facility space assessments, and manage building master plans.
  • Risk Management: Partner with FM Global, our property insurer and risk manager, to establish effective methods to protect our people and buildings from catastrophic loss and ensure business continuity.
  • Real Estate Partnership: Collaborate with the Real Estate team to evaluate future sites and identify current and future facility locations for improvements.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 12+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing floor and facilities management, mechanical or electrical engineering, or MEP construction management.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA regulations, building codes, product quality standards, cost control, and industry-standard design and construction methods.
  • Leadership: Self-starter who works well as a team leader.
  • Communication: Collaborative and proactive communicator, effective in both one-on-one and group settings.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
  • Professional Designation: Registered Professional Engineer.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, and other BIM tools.
  • Contract Management: Experience in preparing and reviewing technical construction and service contracts.

SALARY INFORMATION: 
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $130K to $207K base salary.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
