SUMMARY 

This position is responsible for managing the Renewal by Andersen Security program from both a strategic development perspective as well as day-to-day security matters for the division and the 24x7 operations at the Cottage Grove, MN campus. Areas of responsibility include all RbA office and manufacturing space.  This position will also be assigned as the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Cottage Grove campus. Potentially responsible for 12 retail locations and a second, 24x5 security team located in Locust Grove, GA dependent upon on job qualifications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Manages the strategic development, enhancement and maintainance of the Renewal by Andersen Security program, to include metrics, best practices and training programs. This also includes developing strategic plans to ensure consistant support of the long term growth of the division. 
  • Trusted business partner and consultant on security issues, strategies and projects at assigned locations across the enterprise with leaders, human resources, facilities, legal and others as the situation requires. Builds relationships to facilitate proactive security support at assigned locations across the enterprise.
  • Conducts vulnerabilty assessments to develop and maintain a layered physical security system at assigned locations across the enterprise to include security alarms, camera systems, access control systems and other security-related systems.

  • Supports the Safety team and assists with first repsonder training and processes along with coordinating efforts with CGFD and EMS to ensure proper response times.

  • Leads investigations of incidents and complex security issues that occur at assigned locations in conjunction with, management, Human Resources and law enforcement. Keeps department manager appraised of findings, recommended next steps and outcomes.  
  • Engages with site leadership at assigned locations to encourage an open flow of communication between security and other facility and operations teams.
  • Builds strong partnerships with law enforcement, emergency responders and other public officials at assigned locations.  
  • Provides security-related training to key business partners and leaders at assigned locations across the enterprise.

 

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 

·Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience.

  • Prior experience in a leading teams, preferably in the security industry, operations center environment or closely related field.
  • Knowledgeable about the operation, installation and processes for repairing security-related technology.
  • Skilled at building strong partnerships and collaboration.

 

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Previous experience conducting investigations.
  • CPR/AED certifications/or experience with emergency preparedness.
  • Trainer experience (de-escalation, safety, emergency preparedness.

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
