POSITION PURPOSE

To provide the protection of people and property by conducting patrols, utilizing security-related technology and tools, responding to emergency situations and other general security functions as directed by site leadership and the Corporate Security Manager. Adheres to Company and Department policies and procedures when responding to and supporting various situations 24 x 7.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

25% - Provides patrol and performs duties via foot and vehicle to ensure the safety and security of Andersen’s employees, guests and facilities.

 

20% - Provides support in the gatehouse by monitoring truck traffic entering and exiting the yard by utilizing logistics technology to track inbound and outbound tailers.

 

20% - Ensures proper response to both emergency and non-emergency situations such as (medicals, facility incident, hazardous/emergency situations). Documents and reports information to the appropriate internal and external partners in accordance with Company and Department policies and procedures.

 

15% - Utilizes security technology to monitor facility to ensure a safe and secure work environment.

  • CCTV camera systems
  • Burglary systems

 

10% - Interacts with employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors and provides assistance in a professional brand manner

 

5% - Supports the development and execution of projects in support of the continuous improvement of the Corporate Security program. Coordinates and maintains select aspects of the security program as directed by leadership.

 

5% - Partners with Human Resources and Security Manager for conducting investigations and complex security matters. Provides security support for issues that may pose an elevated risk.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

List the minimum education, experience and technical qualifications that are necessary to qualify for the job. Include required licenses and certifications, if any.

Possess at least a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience working in the physical security industry and/or operations center environment. 

First aid and CPR  certified or able to achieve first aid and CPR certification upon being hired.

Knowledgeable about physical security technology, follow security processes and have knowledge of computers and computer systems.

Able to develop and maintain positive relationships with various levels of employees and leadership.

 

Strong knowledge of working with various technologies

Able to meet Fleet requirements required to drive a company vehicle.

Strong written and verbal communication and focused on providing strong customer service. 

Able to work independently with minimal direction.

Ability to occasionally lift 100 pounds and carry 50 pounds or more. 

Able to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time daily. 

Able to climb ladders and perform duties at various heights. 

Able to work in all weather conditions.
