SUMMARY :
Through and Shared Service Outreach approach, actively leads and directs the execution of individual site’s safety initiatives and ensures each conforms and maintains compliance with Federal, State and local regulations, as well as corporate policies and standards.  Oversee the implementation of each site's comprehensive safety program specific with the goal of reducing work-related injuries/illnesses and related costs. Provide expertise in the recognition, development and on-going management of safety programs designed to reduce employee exposures to hazards for application across the enterprise and comply with applicable safety and health regulations.  Disseminate enterprise systems, programs and assist site safety representative with implementation and customization for their sites

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Lead the corporate liaison (Outreach) program with an objective of providing direct shared service support to site leadership by acting as advocate and strategic partner on critical safety initiatives that significantly impact safety and business goals.
  • By providing strategic direction and partnership create multi-dimensional safety programs applicable to the enterprise that drive continuous improvement through innovative techniques and improve safety performance.
  • In partnership with local site leadership and safety representatives, oversees and conducts auditing of all site safety programs to ensure compliance with all Andersen Safety Programs, as well as applicable government and industry regulations.  Assist operations leadership with resolution of identified safety and health issues.
  • Manages the enterprise Site Safety Specialist staffing model involving; sourcing, on-boarding, performance management and structured mentoring under a matrixed work direction model to ensure business safety program success.  Monitor and coach representatives’ professional development and provide strategic work direction.
  • Actively leads and participates in the execution of individual site’s safety initiatives and ensures each conforms and maintains compliance with Federal, State and local regulations, corporate policies and standards.    
  • Influence behavior and inspire commitment with site leadership in complying with safety standards and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Support major corporate strategic initiatives.  Develop meaningful safety measures that drive site scorecard performance improvements. Work with management and executives to set enterprise safety related goals and strategic planning.
  • Direct field safety service and designated corporate safety representatives in enterprise safety outreach.  Provide work direction, site strategy and work assignment that enables comprehensive support and guidance to site safety representatives.
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Master’s degree in industrial safety or closely related technical field
  • Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience req
  • Mastery of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI and other applicable codes and regulations.  A CSP certification is desirable
  • 10 years of EHS/Occupational health experience

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
