POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Product Design Technical Leader, you will partner with manufacturing and quality teams to develop solutions for current and next generation window and door products. You will influence the system form factor, product performance, and customer experience for those using our products. You will be a key leader in our mission to become a world class customer experience company through our products and services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 10+ years of experience in Product Design and Engineering
- 7+ years of experience working on product development, stage gate projects, including prototyping, testing, and analysis
- Expert level experience in dimensional engineering and tolerance analysis
- Expert level experience in 2D and 3D CAD modeling
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of experience working in Research and Development or working in a product development environment
- Ability to diagnose and solve complex problems involving product and process
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with design, marketing, quality, IT, and manufacturing teams
- Fluency in FEA and stress modeling: structural, thermal, and/or fluids
- Experience with test method creation and improvements to methods
- Proven track record of delivering innovative product solutions within project time constraints
- Experience with characterization, process monitoring, specifications, failure analysis and data analysis
- Ability to concisely present facts to team members at all levels and backgrounds
- Ability to code in Python, Java, or similar language
- Knowledge of manufacturing, lean, and process improvement methodology
- Leadership experience is a plus, either in project or people leadership
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Hands on practical experience building something, either personal or professional
COMPENSATION: Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $108,941 - $168,859
