ANDERSEN CORPORATION SUMMARY:
This role will be responsible for leading quality efforts at our Menomonie Consolidation Center.
The large portion of this role will be focused on Quality Assurance for our customers. This work will entail answering concerns from our Andersen team when customer complaints arise, creating ways to use data to determine what projects to tackle to make customer improvements and a large amount of collaboration with our other AW sites. Standardizing how we look at our Initial Quality Data (IQ) and working back with our corporate quality teams to make improvements.
A second portion of this role will be supervision of three quality repair bench associates. These three associates are working 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift. Responsibilities will be to mentor, train and coach this team, find ways to improve their standard work and ensure that we are supporting the warehouse and Manufacturing plants. This role will be onsite in Menomonie (site is close to Hwy 94 & Ct Rd B).
- Development of quality metrics to track top issues
- Lead improvement projects
- Supervision of quality work bench employees
- Collaboration with operations across the company in MFG and logistics
- Drive corrective action through root cause identification, structured problem solving and then hold gains on improvements.
- Perform root cause analysis to find sources of variation and process problems
- Coordinate containment activities when reactive issues arise
- Participate and lead regular weekly meetings with suppliers, manufacturing teams, delivery teams
- Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to identify out of control conditions and define control plans to reduce process variation
- Support in the resolution of customer complaints
- Partner with RD&I team to develop packaging improvements
- BS Degree in Engineering, Quality, or Technology
- Understanding of DMAIC tools; when to apply them, interpretation of results and application for effective solutions (process map, process capability, C&E matrix, fishbone diagram, FMEA, MSA, DOE, control plan) drive improvement activity.
