SUMMARY

We are looking for a Quality Manager to join our Composites Technology Support team and lead the quality teams at our Bayport facility and North Branch facility driving strategic initiatives.  As a Quality Manager on our Composites Technology Support team you will effectively lead and contribute to supporting the processing of thermoplastic materials that are vital to Andersen window and door manufactured products. 

 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Develop, execute and maintain quality OKR’s (Objective’s, Key Results, Initiatives) in alignment with the composite and enterprise visions both short and long term.
  • Manage the actions and drive accountability for the quality function’s tasks directed towards total cost of quality, initial quality, new product development and delivering the perfect order to our customer.
  • Implement and manage non-conformance and error-proofing techniques and provide best practice knowledge to the manufacturing team.
  • Lead the support, design, and maintenance of current and future business intelligence applications used by the various data streams (i.e., Power Apps, Power BI dashboards).
  • Partner with the Enterprise Quality Teams on various initiatives including the following:
    • Improvements in document control and software systems (i.e. Aras, Portal, Go Canvas, Prolink).
    • Strategic initiatives and best practice sharing, which may require travel to other facilities.
  • Build and actively coach/lead a team of 4-6 engineers with 9-12 technicians across two manufacturing sites, developing talent for the next generation of quality leadership.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by direct leader.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
 
  • BS degree in Engineering, Technology or equivalent related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing, continuous process environment required.
  • Preferably 2 or more years’ experience managing a team.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, quality programs, SPC, process capability and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Must be willing to split time between two manufacturing sites.

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
