ROLE DESCRIPTION
Pack Size Operator will tend to and operate the Pack Size machines.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tend and operate pack size machines in a work cell to produce required cartons as determined by customer requirements and the production schedules. Machines may include pack size machines and carton gluers. These are roles that have greater impact to productivity, safety and quality.
- Analyze carton specifications and make necessary adjustments to the equipment.
- Complete necessary documentation; process checks, quality checks, production reporting, etc.
- Troubleshoot standard problems against a defined process and refer complex problems to the appropriate resources.
- Work within Standard work, JBA’s, control plans, work instructions and quality specifications. Work with support staff on keeping standard work documents current and relevant to defined output.
- Performs changeovers to defined standards to meet product specifications.
- Understand the safety needs of the process and work within the parameters defined to protect the equipment, facility and coworkers.
- Use measuring tools for managing product quality with in defined parameters of the standard work and quality documentation.
- Identify problems and implement fixes for common issues with the use of AMS tools and standards for continuous improvement concepts, and works with the support staff, management and maintenance on corrective action to resolve.
- Rotate as required through multiple jobs.
- Knowledge of product, process, and customer’s expectations within the value streams (upstream and downstream of the process).
- Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities.
- Support respectful workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Basic computer skills
· PIT training / fork license required for some tasks.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and stand for long periods.
· Ability to read and understand reports.
· Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills.
· Dependability/punctuality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:
· Must be able to stand for 8 hrs
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs
In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
