SUMMARY:
Join our team as a Maintenance Manager, where you’ll lead the coordination of our maintenance department to ensure timely and efficient operations. You’ll manage the departmental budget, coach your team to excel, and ensure our equipment and facilities meet production and employment needs at both the Menomonie Plant and the Consolidation Center. Overseeing the preventive maintenance program, you’ll develop performance standards and direct both in-house staff and external contractors to maintain our buildings and grounds. Your role will also involve planning and implementing innovative methods to improve operations, reduce costs, and maximize resource utilization. Additionally, you’ll manage building renovations, ensure environmental compliance, and maintain security programs to keep our facilities at both sites running smoothly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure coordinated activities of the maintenance department in a timely manner.
- Manage the departmental budget.
- Coach the performance of the maintenance team.
- Make sure that the equipment and facility are capable of supporting the production requirements and associate employment levels.
- Accountable for the preventive maintenance program and maintenance of production equipment and facilities.
- Develop objectives and standards of performance for projects within maintenance and facilities required to meet departmental and corporate goals and objectives.
- Plans, schedules and directs in-house staff and external contractors in the maintenance of company building and grounds. Develops and maintains an operating budget to ensure that such maintenance is carried out on a cost-effective basis. Ensures operational facility by overseeing the regular maintenance of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning.
- Plans, develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimizing operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
- Oversees and directs all building renovations. To ensure that such renovations occur within budgeted levels and conform to company specifications, the incumbent obtains and prepares cost estimates; coordinates all construction, remodeling and repair projects; and inspects completed work. Drawing on expertise in facilities management, makes recommendations regarding the use and selection of outside contractors.
- Assures environmental compliance through partnership with the Enterprise.
- Direct landscape activities and ensure that the grounds and parking lot are cleaned and maintained.
- Accountable for security program at the Menomonie Plant, ensuring all security devices are functional and tested at proper intervals. Oversees security records, test and access logs.
- Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.
- Assure that production equipment is capable of producing within the specifications and tolerances established by the product-engineering department.
- Consult with engineering department regarding desirable modifications of existing equipment and facilities, and the possible replacement of existing equipment, which will improve operations and reduce maintenance costs
- Reviews production, quality control, maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance and facility activities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8 years building, maintenance and security related experience.
- Must possess a balance of the technical, human relations and conceptual skills required to achieve results through subordinate supervision. Must be capable of evaluating and weighing alternatives, establishing relative priorities and formulating decisions that affect all phases of the operation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
