SUMMARY 
This position will provide rapid on-demand, linguistically and culturally appropriate, onsite support in English and site dominant language (Spanish) to job candidates and new employees who enter our candidate process or join the organization as an employee. Provide a liaison communication role with leaders and functional teams who support the employee experience.  Utilize knowledge of and experience with production work, and the organization’s systems and processes to problem solve and guide another employee successfully through onboarding using native language skills. Provide new employees with guidance, access to resources, contact information, and advocacy to successfully enter our workforce.
 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Work with job candidates and new hires by assisting in interviews and conversations, answering questions and escalating support to complete necessary applications and documents using native language skills
  • Confirm receipt and understanding of deadline-dependent benefits enrollment process and packet. Define next steps for employee to connect with supervisor or Employee Service Center for more information or specific questions.
  • Repeatedly check-in with English language learner shop floor employees as they transition from completing orientation, technical hands-on training, and begin working on the production floor, utilizing a checklist to confirm understanding and access, or to reschedule training or support when necessary.
  • Provide accessibility feedback to trainers and teams who develop training and communication content and material, especially content critical to the safety and quality elements of work performed. Help develop new training or job aids where accessibility can be improved.

·       Provide guidance to access resources about safety, job training, employee communication, and health-wellness-benefits systems and other essential services to support new employee onboarding.

  • Maintain employee confidentiality in accordance with policies, privacy laws, regulations, and corporate Code of Conduct ethical standards.
  • Promote the mission of Andersen employee resource networks, our corporate mission, and values
  • Build relationships and participate in events and tours with external workforce development training centers and under-represented communities to provide linguistically and culturally appropriate liaison support.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 

·       2 years’ work or volunteer experience with counseling, guiding, training members of a workforce or community who are navigating a new system or process where language many create barriers to equal access of the employee experience.

·       2 years’ work or volunteer experience using a non-English language to interpret or translate information or processes to new Americans

·       Two-year associate degree or a combination of education and experience

·       Strong computer skills and experience with databases and MS Office: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word

·       Completion of a Certified Translation Professional designation preferred

·       Strong interpersonal skills to connect with people of all backgrounds, including English and other dominant workforce languages. Ability to navigate challenging situations in a calm, fair, but effective and professional manner

·       Strong organization skills, demonstrated through ability to prioritize work, track completion of projects, seek feedback, and meet deadlines. Ability to navigate large and complex facilities and organizations to locate individual employees, conduct quick conversations with them, and respond with necessary information and guidance they need.

-2nd Shift (3pm-11pm) No Overtime 


SALARY INFORMATION: 
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. In addition to your pay, Andersen Corporation currently offers benefits such as comprehensive health benefits, 401k contribution, paid time off, 8 paid standard holidays, plus 2 floating holidays, a robust employee Wellbeing program, as well as profit sharing (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
