SUMMARY:

Andersen Corp is looking for an Finance IT Business Analyst that has a background in Infor ERP tools like BaanERP, Baan IV and Infor LN.   The position will include a variety of roles including implementing business improvements, project work and support.  The IT Business Analyst is responsible for the planning, development, maintenance, and enhancement of the functional areas of application packages.  They are assigned to teams within an assigned business unit and independently utilize various client/server platforms as well as, mentor others.    Individuals collaborate with company customers, staff, IT and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options.  They are proficient in assessing business objectives and design business processes for medium to high level objectives in such a way that they may be effectively modeled, configured and measured within the package application environment.  Demonstrated ability to mentor others.   Individuals are proficient in communicating the application package capabilities and possibilities to designated functional areas, while seeking ways to collaborate with IT members to facilitate transition to and support of the application package . 

 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for medium to high level business analysis and process design in one or more functional areas (finance, accounting, invoicing, etc.) within the enterprise in the analysis and redesign of application package functions and processes.  Assists less experienced business analysts with design and knowledge transfer Completes comprehensive unit, system and performance testing of application that includes its components and interfaces.
  • Responsible for definition of application scope and objectives and devise/modify procedures to solve medium to high complexity business problems.  Assists less experienced business analysts with problem resolution Adhere to Agile practices and other PMO or Team project methodology
  • Responsible for communicating application package capabilities/possibilities within one or more functional areas with medium to high complexity of requirements. Assists less experienced business analysts with application package capabilities   
  • Responsible for the specification and validation of reporting universes. Responsible for Specifying, developing, and validating medium to high complexity business reports
  • Maintain business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support efforts 
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers, IT colleagues, project leads and architects to meet expected customer service levels 
  • May regularly coach other team members.   
 
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of development experience with a variety of leading-edge development languages and platforms, including VB.NET or similar development tool
  • Understanding of Financial areas/concepts including general ledger, income statements, balance sheets and other financial concepts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in the ability to express medium to high level technical concepts in business terms 
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks
  • Developing project management skills, operating as part of a team organizing, planning, and executing projects from vision through implementation 
 
SALARY INFORMATION:

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
