POSITION TITLE: Technical Lead/Supervisor
Job Location: Bayport, MN
POSITION SUMMARY:
This Technical lead position will work closely with our engineers, quality team, operations leads, and supervisors within the Engineered Materials team (extrusion) to provide technical expertise and lead continuous improvement efforts at the Bayport site. This role will assist in various daily and weekly activities while supporting some longer-term projects. This position is critical to hitting our daily, weekly, and period based goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of technicians to meet strategic goals and objectives.
- Provide coaching, ideas, feedback, and encouragement to employees to promote growth and development.
- Provide quality and process expertise in qualification of replacement/backup production tooling and/or process qualification.
- Recommend and implement process and/or tooling improvements based on tooling performance, quality trends, and process trends.
- Take corrective action on safety incidents, machine downtime, or quality incidents that deviates from customer requirements.
- Assist with cross-functional work on continuous improvement and safety projects.
- Establish and help manage relationships with vendors and internal suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Two-year technical degree with 5+ years of experience in equivalent field; OR High school diploma with 10+ years of experience in related field.
- Advanced tool and die training (i.e. welding, turning, machining, polishing).
- Extrusion experience.
- Advanced computer skills (i.e. 3D CAD, trend analysis, presentations).
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality control systems.

COMPENSATION:
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn between $88,235 - $136,765 annually.
