SUMMARY:

The operations/manufacturing engineering team is seeking a collaborative servant leader to play an influential role in our Andersen Aluminum (also known as Heritage) product line. We see significant growth on the horizon, and we’re looking for a candidate with a strong technical- and people-leader background to support the day-to-day operations while managing strategic plans and investments to support the coming growth.

Andersen Aluminum is made in Goodyear, AZ in our 500,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility. It’s an amazing place with smart factory technology, warm, welcoming and fun work environment, privacy rooms for new mothers, prayer/meditation rooms along with an outstanding benefit and compensation plan. The Engineering Leader is one of the most senior engineering positions working at this site.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead a highly energetic and talented group of engineers: assign tasks, manage performance, and serve as a mentor
• Execute analyses, root cause corrective actions (RCCA), and other solutions to equipment and manufacturing process challenges that arise in day-to-day production operations
• Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering to plan for and execute on initiatives to grow our business
• Report to the Engineering Manager on-site in Goodyear

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline
• Experience working with manufacturing operations and with process improvement or Lean efforts
• Effective interpersonal skills and ability to gain alignment across a cross-functional team
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

• People management experience
• Project management experience
• Fenestration industry knowledge
• Prior experience working with a high-growth product line

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
