Description & Requirements

  • Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting machine controls including frequency drives, servo drives and touch panels.
  • Broad knowledge of PLCs and electrical principles. Allen Bradley PLC programming experience. Experience troubleshooting machine controls and other sequential processes.
  • Must have experience performing maintenance and repair on electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. Experience in mechanical assembly using hand and power tools; electronics assembly using soldering, wiring, PCB rework and cable assembly. Properly use testing equipment.
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical, fluid power, electrical and building prints as well as blue-prints or engineering drawings.
  • Must have working knowledge and experience in 480, 208 3-phase, 120 single phase, and 24v low voltage electrical circuitry and wiring.
  • Set up and operate lathes, saws grinders, and mills, etc., proficiently and without assistance.        
  • Experience performing arc-welding, mig-welding, and oxyacetylene.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methods.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Outlook) and proficient computer skills to utilize PLC and enterprise resource planning software, as well as label/shipping software systems.
Qualifications - External
  • High school diploma or equivalent AND 2 years’ experience troubleshooting PLCs.
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass both the written and operational PIT tests and maintain certification every 2 years.
  • Must pass the internal qualifying test after hired.
  • Requires ability to become and maintain Lock Out Tag Out authorized.
  • Regular/dependable attendance is required. Over 40 hours/week is required as scheduled to meet business need.
