PURPOSE:  Business Development Representative - Home Improvement is responsible for developing residential business in the Replacement and Remodeling Segments.  They will drive incremental sales and share growth through the identification of target contractors, training and development of sustained business relationships with the trade.  This position will work in collaboration with the TSRs, dealer channel and all functional business units to capitalize on viable market opportunities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute strategies that leverage the brand and product breadth within the Home Improvement segment.
  • Assess and cultivate strong business relationships with Home Improvement focused partners whose segment focus is conducive to Andersen's product portfolio to drive sales and share growth.
  • Work collaboratively with sales team to ensure certified contractor opportunities are effectively executed.
  • Utilize sales reporting tools to effectively report and assess results of segment and market activities.
  • Work in collaboration with dealers, peers and business units to enhance training, products, services & tools necessary to reach high caliber Certified Contractor candidates and grow share in home improvement segment.
  • Conduct training for both a wide trade audience and Certified Contractor training for assigned markets and other markets as directed.  Also, develop internal expertise with AW sales team.
  • Establish credibility with the home improvement segment partners and customers by conducting business consistent with Andersen's vision, values and strategies.

Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in Architectural Design, Construction Management, Business or a related field of study or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in the Home Improvement segment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong business relationships with trade customers, channel partners and peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to train large groups using multiple delivery methods.
  • Knowledge of and experience in window replacement sales and installation processes and techniques.
  • Evidence of strong analytical and fact-based planning skills

During 2022, each eligible Andersen employee will receive $1,000 for each full fiscal quarter they are actively employed and fully vaccinated against COVID-19. An eligible employee hired during a quarter will receive a prorated payment based on the number of days employed during the quarter. Those eligible include fully-vaccinated regular full-time and part-time employees (at least 20 hours per week) who are not subject to a collective bargaining agreement. These and other terms and conditions of Andersen’s 2022 Profit Sharing Plan, including the definition of full vaccination against COVID-19, are subject to change or termination without notice

 
 
In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
