SUMMARY:

Renewal by Andersen has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Event Manager with our Chicago team! This position will assist the Event Manager to cost effectively drive non-media lead generation and local awareness primarily through the management of our events and home shows as well as the marketing representatives within that program. They will also assist as needed in managing event partnerships, event searches, showrooms, corporate partnerships, relationships with community groups, homeowner associations, company-created events, and more. 
 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversees participation in events, home shows, sponsorships, and creation of lead-gen opportunities based on established objectives, including onsite administration, resource supervision, and other implementation details
  • Negotiates with event sponsors and outside vendors to procure space and to obtain the best value for our investment
  • Manages the department calendar
  • In-field coaching, training, and in-booth work
  • Recruiting and interviewing
  • Leads classroom training - teaches staff methodology, rebuttals, process and procedures
  • Collaborates and communicates across departments/functions to drive results
  • Provides guidance, training, and direction to team of marketing representatives
SCHEDULE & TRAVEL:
This position requires frequent travel throughout the greater Chicagoland area. Additionally, sporadic schedule availability is required. You will be working 100+ events per year and at least 40 weekends out of the year. The right individual would need to be a people person - interactive, spunky, and outgoing. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS 
 
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Some experience in sales/marketing, planning events, and/or managing sales/retail teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to think strategically, with strong project management skills, including attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
