ANDERSEN CORPORATION SUMMARY
The manufacturing engineering team is seeking a collaborative Associate Engineer to help us build a strong foundation of operational fundamentals in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee engagement that sets us up for success in our Andersen Aluminum product line (formerly known as Heritage). We see significant growth on the horizon, and our manufacturing engineers are critical to creating capacity and increasing our throughput.
Andersen Aluminum is made in Goodyear, AZ in our 550,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility. It’s an amazing place with smart factory technology, warm, welcoming and fun work environment, privacy rooms for new mothers, prayer/meditation rooms along with an outstanding benefit and compensation plan.
- Support production at the site by learning how operations technology and equipment function, collaborating with technical and non-technical teams to troubleshoot problems, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Learn to be a key contributor on projects. The assignments taken on will develop engineering skills and abilities.
- Contribute ideas and possible solutions that are new and unique to the business.
- Apply basic engineering analytical skills (SPC, process capability, etc.).
- Design and document concepts and process (CAD, work instructions, etc.).
- Propose solutions to resolve problems and to satisfy customer issues and market requirements.
- Assist with facilitation of smaller teams having explicit objectives and scope.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering or a related engineering field (December graduation is okay)
- Effective interpersonal skills working with a cross-functional team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment at a manufacturing site
- Prior experience working at a manufacturing site
