SUMMARY The Andersen Menomonie On-Going Product Development Team is looking for a full-time Associate CAD Designer on-site to support product changes and additions. This person needs to be a self-starter, organized, highly dependable, team-oriented, and supportive. They should take great pride in their work and possess excellent listening skills, technical aptitude, and can work under pressure.  Must have the ability to create and modify CAD models, drawings and specifications following our standards and best practices. 
 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Applies CAD expertise and knowledge in 3D model creation and delivery of product drawings for use by manufacturing, suppliers and internal customers.
  • Works closely with RD&I, Manufacturing, Materials Management and Suppliers to define requirements and provide timely and accurate solutions.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement team improvements.
  • Provides proactive support of the team’s CAD support tools.
  • Participate in the development and ongoing maintenance of RD&I’s CAD drafting standards, documentation processes and document storage methods.
  • Stays abreast of current CAD and architectural technologies and prioritizes their application to Andersen’s CAD support services.
  • Assists with presentations and training sessions to share technical and process knowledge with manufacturing, suppliers, delivery partners and leadership. 
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

·         Inventor 2D and 3D solid modeling CAD Skills

·         Good communication and problem solving skills

·         Experience with Tolerancing and Datum Strategy

·         Working knowledge of a Product Data Management system.

·         Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools.

 
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 

·         2-year associate degree in Drafting/CAD with a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in drafting or related work.

·         Demonstrates a strong interest and basic aptitude to work in a technical or scientific field.

 
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS 

·         Experience in Operating/Maintaining 3D Printers.

·         Fenestration knowledge.

·         Working knowledge of material characteristics and tooling concepts influencing design requirements

 
SALARY INFORMATION: 
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. In addition to your pay, Andersen Corporation currently offers benefits such as comprehensive health benefits, 401k contribution, paid time off, 8 paid standard holidays, plus 2 floating holidays, a robust employee Wellbeing program, as well as profit sharing (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
