SUMMARY
This Associate Accountant position will be a member of the Fixed Asset Accounting team reporting directly to the Accounting Supervisor. This position will provide support in developing, interpreting, and implementing accounting and financial practices, procedures, and policies in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and corporate policies. This role also involves the ability to develop and maintain collaborative and effective relationships with cross functional teams across the Enterprise.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Accounting and Period-Close
o Assists in the day to day to maintenance of a complete and accurate general ledger.
o Consolidates, examines, and analyzes accounting records.
o Applies accounting skills to maintain, communicate, and disclose information in accordance with corporate standards, GAAP, and department objectives.
o Ensure timely and accurate coding of invoicing.
o Assist with project maintenance tasks.
· Analysis and Reporting
o Research inaccuracies and clearing discrepancies in a timely manner, along with analysis of financial records and systems.
o Responsible for compiling analysis and reports for department management and other business partners under direct supervision.
· Process Improvement
o Have a continuous improvement mindset performing daily tasks and working through the existing processes and procedures.
· Audit Support & Other
o Provides supporting documentation and assists with both internal and external audit inquiries.
o Support accounting projects and processes within the department.
o Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting
· 0 to 4 years of related accounting experience
· Foundation understanding of general ledger activities, fixed asset accounting, and GAAP accounting practices
· Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
· Team player with excellent collaborative and communication skills
· Ability to work independently and be proactive, detail oriented, and well-organized
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
· Power BI experience
· Coupa experience
· Experience with Infor Baan and/or LN
· Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
COMPENSATION
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, education, geographic location, certifications, etc. Your recruiter can share more about the specific compensation package for your preferred role during the hiring process. Successful candidates in this role are expected to earn $61,760 to $92,640.
