SUMMARY
This is an AP Supervisor role within Financial Shared Services. Leads a small team of exempt an non-exempt employees supporting Accounts Payable activities including supplier master data management, supplier payments, escheatment compliance processes, etc. Reports to the Senior Accounts Payable Manager. Responsibilities have a moderate degree of direct supplier interaction with enterprise transactional, analytical, and reporting complexity in a multi-system environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Direct, coach and lead employees through managing the day-to-day operations following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, customer legal agreements, company policies, and procedures.
· Supports all key financial cycles and ensures accurate and timely transactional processing: period closing, year-end, physical inventories, internal/external audits, etc.
· Develops cross-functional relationships and manages process and controls by leveraging these relationships
· Supervises a staff of up to ten permanent and temporary employees; mostly non-exempt.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· BS in Accounting, Finance, or other Management / Business related degree. 5-7 Years’ experience in a Shared Services or other Finance / Accounting Organization. 2-4 Years in a management role preferred.
· Advanced understanding of basic to intermediate accounting policies, practices, principles, and processes
· Experience managing a transactional processing organization with key performance indicators, focused on productivity, cost, quality, etc.
· Strong presentation skills as well as the ability to express accounting technical concepts in business terms
· Ability to work independently as well as facilitate and collaborate in a team environment
· Must drive to the highest level of ethics in accounting and business management

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
