In this role you will help lead network modeling initiatives that support transportation and logistics strategies by providing solutions to improve customer experience, optimization, processing excellence, and network efficiencies as well as maintaining our logistics applications.

Your day-to-day will include model development, experiment design, and deep dive analysis. You will learn current processes, build data backed solutions, educate diverse stakeholder groups, and audit implementation. You will work closely with our tech team to launch your solutions into production and build the metrics needed to monitor and improve their performance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Interact with various software and business groups to develop an understanding of their business requirements and operational processes
  • Examine large amounts of data to construct models that solve complex transportation problems
  • Create computer simulations to support operational decision-making
  • Identify areas with potential for improvement and work with internal teams to generate requirements that can realize these improvements
  • Work closely with enterprise fleet supervisors and planners to understand fleet capacity, transportation network constraints, and customer needs
  • Develop metrics for transportation analysis
  • Ongoing system maintenance and support
  • Analyze, develop recommendations, and lead implementation of moderate to high risk continuous improvements to business tools and processes
  • Gain “Super User” knowledge of logistics software applications. (Blue Yonder TMS, Blue Yonder TMOD, Fourkites, Omnitracs, Baan ERP, WMS JDA)
  • Analyze optimized load plans identifying continuous improvements of logistics software strategy and standard processes
  • Assigned to or supports special project work
  • Function as the subject matter expert, representing Network Planning for cross functional initiatives
  • Coach others on understanding, analyzing, and interpreting data and information
  • Facilitate teams and meetings having explicit objectives and scope
  • A team leader on tactical projects and/or directs the work of others within projects or process improvement activities


  • 4-year degree in software engineering, business, or technology with 3-6 years’ experience preferred
  • Demonstrates competency to coach others in systems, data mining and data reporting
  • Builds strong working relationships with internal and/or external customers
  • Is self-sufficient and motivated to take-action and grow and develop
  • Provides peer-to-peer coaching and developmental feedback to others
  • Is quick to recognize situations where change is needed and takes steps to implement change
  • Independently composes written materials and proposals that conveys information clearly and concisely

During 2022, each eligible Andersen employee will receive $1,000 for each full fiscal quarter they are actively employed and fully vaccinated against COVID-19. An eligible employee hired during a quarter will receive a prorated payment based on the number of days employed during the quarter.
