POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position will provide quality support by working with members of a new product line development team, and external suppliers through product commercialization. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who can ensure that product components and finished product meet expectations, within the project timeline.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide quality support for a new product line including:
  • Qualify supplied parts by performing production part approval analysis (PPAP)
  • Perform fabrication or assembly equipment capability studies
  • Perform gage repeatability and reproducibility studies (GRR)
  • Perform gauge procurement (CAPEX)
  • Create Control Plan and Work Instruction documentation and training

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-5 years of related work experience in quality required, 6-8  years desired
  • Working knowledge of measurement tools and systems
  • Experience in the area of document creation, control, and training.
  • Usage of computer software tools, such as Microsoft Excel and Word, Minitab, Etc.
  • Basic statistics knowledge including capability studies and SPC
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and standards and convert into manufacturing control plans 
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, and work in a fast pace flexible environment.

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

Must be willing to travel up to 25% for 1 to 2 months during the busy project times - local and out of state.
