Description & Requirements
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads and develops analysis, interprets and implements complex financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control.
- Works closely with value stream/plant leaders – understanding financial drivers is critical to success in this role.
- Responsible for period close tasks, including journal entries, expense analysis, reconciliations vs plan, and variance commentary.
- Complete ad-hoc financial requests and assist with management reporting on a daily, weekly, periodic and annual basis.
- Calculate returns on plant driven projects and business cases.
- Assist business partners in completing an annual budget and/or forecast which includes process management, review and evaluation of results. This role may include basic coaching of interns and rotational analysts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree required, can be in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Financial Industry minimum.
- Operations/Manufacturing exposure preferred, but not required.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills are required.
- PowerBI experience/exposure, preferred but not required.
- An intermediate understanding of finance / business concepts, and the ability to clearly communicate those concepts to business partners.
- Strong communication skills, and the ability to develop presentation skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to influence and communicate with business partners.
- Ability to identify abnormal trends to socialize with business partners and manger.
- Ability to analyze intermediate processes and support workgroups to help resolve problem areas.
- Perform intermediate financial modeling with logical and technically sound problem-solving skills.
