ROLE DESCRIPTION
Entry level technician job in testing, quality, engineering or other technical area. Work may be in a laboratory, test area, product documentation/information team, manufacturing area, or pilot plant.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Please note: this position will be supporting weekend production and will be working Friday - Sunday 5am - 5pm.
Collects/records data and provides accurate test reports and manufacturing documents.
Ability to take direction from others on requirements to provide data back to aid in determining work methods.
May build and test models developed by other technicians/technologists/engineers.
Participates in continuous improvement activities.
Works with limited supervision.
Performs technical support for assigned work area.
Report recommendations for improvements to technical issues.
Develop basic prototypes and fixtures by carrying out concepts developed by others.
Carry out test/work requests.
Creates quality control and Standard work documentation.
Performs safety assessment activities.
Carry out general maintenance of equipment and tools.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
High School Diploma or GED required
Evidence of responsibility for verifying product conformance to specifications either in a quality or production role
Experienced in the area of document creation and control
Preferred experience in an extrusion environment
Must be able to work with and communicate both verbally and written to all levels of the company
Demonstrated ability to multitask, and work in a fast pace flexible environment
Demonstrated ability to analyze and present recommendations in a clear, concise, and logical manner
Knowledge and experience with quality systems, statistical process control, process capability and lean manufacturing tools
Desire to continue to grow and develop personally

During 2022, each eligible Andersen employee will receive $1,000 for each full fiscal quarter they are actively employed and fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
