Provide support to ensure the accuracy of financial results transacted through the cost and inventory systems using established processes and procedures by performing the responsibilities below.


Inventory reconciliation and reporting

  • Analyze the movement of inventory categories (both in & out of inventory) within the assigned warehouses and provide explanations regarding reasons for inventory changes. Monitor and evaluate the adequacy of inventory controls. Identify and implement intermediate inventory control improvement opportunities as necessary.
  • Understand moderately complex inventory processes and form close network of delivery partners who have direct and indirect impact on the inventory process (FP&A Analysts, Operations, Supply Chain, Enterprise Change Services (ESC), Manufacturing, Andersen Logistics and Order Mgmt., Corporate Accounting, etc.)
  • Understand moderately complex inventory changes through a combination of assistance from Manufacturing Accountants, individual initiative, continued learning and analysis and expertise of delivery partners.

Physical Inventory

  • Work with assigned plant personnel through the inventory process to ensure that all the necessary inventory processes and procedures are completed.
  • Provide complete analysis related to the inventory gains and losses within the assigned plant because of the physical inventory.
  • Support Cost and Inventory Accounting employee leading the physical inventory.

Product Life Cycle Management Process (PLM’s)

  • Participate on the PLM core team for assigned support area.
  • Provide direction to the PLM core team related to data, costing and inventory changes.
  • Perform PLM Cost & Inventory Accounting steps.

Product Costing:

  • Aid and support the annual cost cycle process by organizing information, base analysis for year over year cost changes, provide explanation for the changes, prepare and load information into the ERP system.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and bring them to the attention of the manager.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts supporting Cost and Inventory Accounting.
  • Participate in moderately complex continuous improvement efforts supporting various business partners.


  • Provide support to moderately complex business projects.

Baan ERP & Infor LN knowledge

  • Provide functional support related to the Baan Platform to our business partners.
  • Maintain Baan data structure relating to product classification and product cost information.
  • Aid in maintaining Baan integration mapping and / or design changes as well as addressing errors within assigned Baan Logistics company.

Period Close

  • Support the period end close process by keying journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, analyzing and correcting account discrepancies and prepare commentary for variance analysis.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CMA preferred
  • 0-4 years of related experience
  • Strong computer & System skills
  • Intermediate understanding of Cost and Management Accounting Principles
  • Personal Integrity, Positive Outlook, Relationship Building, Assessment / Evaluation, Problem Solving / Opportunity Identification, Self –Development Capability, Communication (strong)
