Position Purpose

The MES Software Eng is responsible for leading the planning, design, development and testing of Manufacturing Execution Systems supporting shop floor manufacturing, material flow and PLC machine integration.  MES BA’s can be assigned to various project teams supporting many different production areas and value streams.  Individuals collaborate with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, IT and other stakeholders to assess business objectives and design shop floor solutions that support the operations/manufacturing processes.  Individuals must be able to understand and communicate the manufacturing process, manufacturing bill of material and MES application capabilities while seeking ways to collaborate with Operations, Engineering and IT members to meet business objectives


  • Provide business analysis,  process design and bill of material expertise to support the manufacturing operations and shop floor engineers
  • Assist in the definition of application scope and objectives and devise/modify procedures to solve business problems
  • Communicate application package capabilities/possibilities associated to Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Specify, develop, and validate operational reporting
  • Develop business relationships with operations team to ensure successful implementation and support efforts
  • Plan, monitor and report on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions
  • Prepare, coordinate, and execute solution validation and volume tests to ensure successful implementation and support efforts
  • Facilitate user testing with business partners to validate scope and functionality


  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering.
  • At least four years of experience in manufacturing business process design, experience with lean manufacturing concepts, and package implementations
  • Working knowledge of project management techniques and team leadership experience
  • Experience with software unit and integration testing

During 2022, each eligible Andersen employee will receive $1,000 for each full fiscal quarter they are actively employed and fully vaccinated against COVID-19. An eligible employee hired during a quarter will receive a prorated payment based on the number of days employed during the quarter. Those eligible include fully-vaccinated regular full-time and part-time employees (at least 20 hours per week) who are not subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
