Industrial Engineer I/II

Purpose:

Focus is on coordinating and leading all or most activities on comprehensive and technically challenging projects/assignments.  Demonstrates originality in technical work.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and recommend engineering solutions (Root cause analysis, DOE and other appropriate techniques) to process design (work content, line balancing, material flow, inventory management/supermarket design)
  • Evaluate impact of proposed product/process changes on other products, materials, strategies, or other technical issues.
  • Develop and present reports summarizing technical analysis and business case to peer group and management audiences.
  • Effective communications with all levels of internal and external customers and staff.
  • Coordinate project/assignment efforts concerning specific parts or assemblies across several technical areas.
  • Projects/assignments are more complex.  Involve multiple variables, greater responsibility, and cross-functional integration.
  • Manage and direct project/assignment teams involved in multiple, concurrent and sequential development activities.

Direction of Others:

 

  • Assigns tasks to appropriate team member, including peers.
  • Provide training and assistance on a full range of technical issues to lower-level staff on a team and evaluate team member technical skills.
  • Serve as key mentor to less experienced technical employees.

 

Qualifications - External

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4-year Engineering degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with industrial engineering and lean.
  • Has considerable versatility in applying specialized technical knowledge in a wide variety of situations.
  • Knowledge demonstrates mastery in several technical areas of expertise.
  • Possesses unique or specific knowledge that is frequently sought out by others.
  • Well-developed project management skills.

Profit Sharing

During 2022, each eligible Andersen employee will receive $1,000 for each full fiscal quarter they are actively employed and fully vaccinated against COVID-19. An eligible employee hired during a quarter will receive a prorated payment based on the number of days employed during the quarter. Those eligible include fully-vaccinated regular full-time and part-time employees (at least 20 hours per week) who are not subject to a collective bargaining agreement. These and other terms and conditions of Andersen’s 2022 Profit Sharing Plan, including the definition of full vaccination against COVID-19, are subject to change or termination without notice.
