Position Purpose

The Associate IT Business Analyst is responsible for assisting in the planning, development, maintenance, and enhancement of the functional areas of application packages. They are assigned to teams within an assigned business unit and utilize various client/server platforms with direction and mentoring assistance. Individuals learn by assisting in collaboration with company customers, staff, IT and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options. They will learn by assisting with the assessment of business objectives and design business processes in such a way that they may be effectively modeled, configured and measured within the package application environment. Individuals learn by assisting with the communication of the application package capabilities and possibilities to designated functional areas, while seeking ways to collaborate with IT members to facilitate transition to and support of the application package


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn by assisting in business analysis and process design in one functional area (finance, accounting, sales, engineering, manufacturing, etc.) within the enterprise in the analysis, and redesign of application package functions and processes
  • Learn by assisting in the formulation of and definition of application scope and objectives and help devise/modify procedures to solve low complexity business problem.
  • Learn by assisting in communicating application package capabilities/possibilities within one functional area with low complexity of requirement.
  • Learn by assisting in specifying, developing, and validating business reports.
  • Participate in developing business relationships with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support efforts.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.
  • Learn by preparing, coordinating, and executing appropriate unit (functional), integration and volume tests to ensure successful implementation and support efforts
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or Business Administration with an emphasis in a specific functional area or equivalent work experience and technical training.
1-3 years of experience in relevant functional area, limited experience with application package modules, and one package implementation.
Basic business understanding in one functional area and of the organization’s industry.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, but needs assistance expressing technical concepts in business terms.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
Strong work ethic and good team player.

During 2022, each eligible Andersen employee will receive $1,000 for each full fiscal quarter they are actively employed and fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
