SUMMARY

The architect focuses on taking architecture domain outputs, gap assessment and migration plan as developed by the enterprise architects and develop a set of implementation plans that cross several application areas. The architect continuously accounts for the alignment between enterprise architecture strategy and active projects / short-term change initiatives. The architect can have specialized expertise focused on business (process), solutions (applications), information (data) or technical (infrastructure).

The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. The position works closely with the enterprise architects to understand and influence enterprise architecture strategy. The position also coaches senior technical staff and guides work process development and technical development that links individual technical teams into a cohesive solution or service.

The architect is a recognized contributor in the field inside those business units and attends events and efforts related to the field outside the Enterprise. Their work, outside the Enterprise, is limited to pre-determined areas in the advancement of the field of technical expertise.

There are four key discipline areas for an architect. An architect typically focuses on one of these four areas.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Analyze, define, and document requirements for implementation architect domain of responsibility

-Analyze, define and document “order of magnitude” solution estimates (budget and resources) for annual planning purposes

- Provides support in making recommendations for projects in the field of expertise to business unit / function leaders that advance the mission of the business unit / function

-Gather information about program needs, objectives, functions, features, and input/output requirements to design services to perform well Iogically and physically

-Analyze and estimate feasibility and compatibility of recommendations

-Establish auditing procedures to ensure continued integrity of implemented services

-Assist in post-implementation continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality

-Interface with business community and provide ongoing status for active projects

-Consult with clients to prototype, refine, test and debug processes and services to meet needs

-Write and maintain documentation of standards for with Enterprise Architect

-Write documentation or review documentation written by others that describes implementation and operating procedures

- Proactively assess new processes, technologies & platform management to meet escalating business demands

- Provides guidance and oversight to projects. Responsible to ensure methodology, best practices, and standards are followed

QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent extensive and related project experience; Masters degree is desirable

-Five to seven years of experience in IT or process development, with a minimum of two years in solution/service/process design

-In depth experience designing and implementing solutions / services / processes

During 2022, each eligible Andersen employee will receive $1,000 for each full fiscal quarter they are actively employed and fully vaccinated against COVID-19. An eligible employee hired during a quarter will receive a prorated payment based on the number of days employed during the quarter. Those eligible include fully-vaccinated regular full-time and part-time employees (at least 20 hours per week) who are not subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
